Balabhaskar Chandran Santhakumari (born August 10, 1978) is an Indian Violinist, Singer, Music Composer, and Record Producer from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He is the recipient of the Bismillah Khan Yuva Sangeetkar Puraskar. Furthermore, the 40-year-old violinist released his debut “let it B” (instrumental fusion album).
He has performed in many big instrumental events along with many renowned names. It includes Louis Banks, Ustad Zakhir Hussain, Hariharan, Mattannoor Sankarankutty, and many more.
Recently, on September 25, 2018, the family met with an accident in Thiruvananthapuram. Balabhaskar with his wife and daughter was on the way back from Thrissur. The famous violinist had gone to visit a temple with his family. Moreover, the family’s driver was driving the car.
Unfortunately, the driver lost its control of the vehicle and smashed the car into the tree. The musician daughter “Thejaswi Bala” (2-year-old) died in the accident due to injuries. In fact, the rest of them which includes violinist wife “Lakshmi” and his driver “Arjun” severely injured.
They all are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.

Santhakumari married his wife “Lakshmi Santhakumari” in 2000. They welcomed their daughter “Thejaswi Bala” in the year 2016. Unfortunately, Thejaswi died in the accident the family met on September 25, 2018.
